Orta Çağdan Modern Bir Masal

Nicolas Ghesquière vizyonundan çıkan Cruise koleksiyonu, Fransa’nın Avignon kentindeki Palais des Papes yapısının Cour d’Honneur kısmında, yani avlusunda gerçekleşti. Eski Papalar Sarayı olan bu yapı, orta çağın gotik mimari tarzını oldukça yansıtan önemli bir eser. Gotik mimaride Avrupa’nın en önemli yapılarından biri olan Palais des Papes aynı zamanda Unesco Dünya Kültürel Mirası listesinde yer alıyor, ve belli ki Nicolas Ghesquière’in koleksiyonunun vizyonuyla uyuşuyor.

Es Devlin tarafından tasarlanan ve avluya yerleştirilen parlak zeminli bir podyum ile etrafına yerleştirilen kırmızı sandalyeler, teatral bir atmosfer yaratıyor. Koleksiyona ilk bakışta öne çıkan unsur gösterişli sırmalı kumaşlar oluyor.
